Anim HW1

Image
Video 1: This video was a short tutorial on the basics of frame-to-frame animation. The creator animated a circle to move along the designated path. A new tool that will take some getting used to is the "timeline" tool, which will help you figure out how to time it up correctly to look realistic. Something that will be helpful is the way that, even before you start animating, you can duplicate and make multiple layers. Another tool I foresee myself using is the onion skin feature, so you can see what was on the last layer. Video 2: While this video is similar to the last video, this one is more helpful for what I want to do with my animation project. He used two frames simultaneously, so it looked more like a solid line moving into the infinity symbol. This idea is similar to mine for the animated GIF. I found how he explained how to change the brush helpful, as it allowed me to get the animation I was looking for. While this feature is called after effect, it is equally ef...

Somewhere Project

Somewhere Project Final Project: Original Image from Friends Scene: Original Image of Myself:  When this project was first introduced the first thing I thought of was the iconic Central Perk couch and I thought what a better way to incoporate myself somewhere than in the show Friends. I chose to use a photo of myself sitting rather than standing in the back because the spot on the couch was open and I felt it would look more realistic. I did this using Adobe Photoshop, first I started with choosing a background image and then taking my own image to incorporate myself into that background image. After taking the image I edited it on my phone using the Apple settings. I then embedded it on top of the background image and created a mask. The mask was the easiest way possible to get hard edges and details. Throughout this project I used multiple tools but I think what made the biggest difference was the adjustment options I used Hue/Saturation and a few others. Overall I am happy with ...

Ps HW 3

I think that this Kirby Jenner photo would be hard to photoshop because of the way he had to do all the details. For example the feathers over this arm as well as the details of his hand. Overall I think that the position that Kendall is in would make it hard to photoshop myself in Kirbys position.  This is a really cool idea that I found interesting for the "somewhere" project. It looks like Rob photoshopped himself under a sign that he created that resembled an old fahsioned diner called "Rob's". Its something to keep in mind if I decide not to use a TV show or movie.  I think this is perfect, this artists creativity is top tier.  Growing up there was  this rock back home we used to always try to take pictures like this with so this reminded me of that.

Ps HW 2

Ps HW 2 Elaine Brown, 2009      This image stands out to me because of all the emotion behind her eyes and facial expressions. At first glance, we can point out that she is unhappy and looks miserable. The depths of her gaze show the pain she is in internally, and that is why I feel it is such a powerful image. The documentary taught me how close-up images of only a person's face can be so much more potent than a further away shot. Platon has mastered this technique, as seen in the documentary. His technique is powerful and shows the viewer the emotion of those photographed.     This image brought me close to my emotions because you could tell that there was something wrong, and Elaine did not seem happy. She seemed somewhat disappointed. She was chairman of the Black Panther Party, an organization that fought for equality and against police brutality. At the time she served from 1974 to 1977, there was a lot of racial tension within politics.  B...
